Files are private until you share them. Every shared link resolves through a fresh short-lived URL, so revoking is instant.

Add people by email, or flip the link to “anyone with the link”. Pick viewer or editor. Then stop thinking about it — the link stays alive until you revoke it.
- Never expires by default. Set an expiry only if you want one. One Revoke kills the link everywhere at once.
- People, or the whole internet. Restricted links only open for the emails you added. Public links open for anyone, signed in or not.
- Folders travel together. Share a folder once; add a file tomorrow and the same link picks it up.
